Victims, communities and professionals across Avon and Somerset are being asked to share their views on the response to domestic abuse at every stage, from prevention through to rehabilitation, in order to help shape the way, together we respond to this crime.
Stronger and safer together
Our messages are now being shared with 542 members across five Polden village Neighbourhood Watch schemes. Woolavington, Bawdrip, Cossington, Edington and Catcott all run their own schemes but as we are all in the same beat area, all share the same criminals and all benefit from shared knowledge, we are stronger and safer together. We hope other Polden villages will join in soon, so if you have friends or relatives in other neighbouring villages, please encourage them to contact us.
We will be meeting at the Woolavington Church Cafe on Wednesday 11th April from 10.30am and will be pleased to see you there. No agenda, just chat, coffee, cake and togetherness!
If you see someone acting suspiciously around a neighbour’s property, call the police straight away. If they’re obviously breaking in, ring 999. Otherwise, call the non-emergency number 101: police operators are on hand 24/7.
If you have information about any crime, phone 101 or call anonymously CRIMESTOPPERS 0800 555 111 In an emergency dial 999
Ask for your call to be tagged Neighbourhood Watch.
