IN THE FIELD | Kaho'olawe

Through Kupu’s Conservation Leadership Development program, Zach Jones visited the elusive island of Kaho‘olawe multiple times, most recently through a Kupu Service Trip with 21 other program members. Read more about his incredible experience and why he considers Kaho‘olawe “Hawai‘i’s Piko.”

SPOTLIGHT | Ryan Longman

From growing up on the Jersey shore to exploring the world, Kupu alum Ryan Longman found his passion more than 10 years during the HYCC Summer program. Click here to read about his inspiring journey from nomad to Ph.D. and how you can connect with this UH professor for advice on education, climate change or life in general.

COMMUNITY | 10th Annual MLK Jr. Day of Service
MAHALO to the 180 volunteers who joined us for our 10th annual MLK Service Day this year at Maunalua Bay with Pono Pacific Land Management LLC and Mālama Maunalua. Together, we pulled a record 10,000 lbs. of invasive algae from the bay. A BIG mahalo also goes out to our event sponsors (Locations Foundation, La Tour Cafe, Shaka Tea and Kona Brewing Co.) for feeding our volunteers and making the day a success! See photos from the event here. (Aerial photo credit: Locations Foundation)

SUPPORT | Peer-to-Peer

We've added a new peer-to-peer fundraising option to our Kupu donation page. Have friends and family make a donation in honor of your birthday, graduation, anniversary, or just because!

DID YOU KNOW | Rainfall

Rainy season is here! Did you know that three of the wettest places on earth are located in Hawai‘i? Find out where and discover other cool facts about rain, watersheds and how they affect our drinking water.
