Pavlo in the Park

Enjoy art and live entertainment in Woodstock’s historic Victoria Park.

Also featuring a number of local artisans, wine, craft beer and food trucks.

It's a celebration of art and culture featuring an afternoon of entertainment headlined by world renown guitarist "Pavlo" sponsored by the City of Woodstock and T.M.M.C along side local artists. 

Admission to this event is from 2 - 9 pm and is FREE.

Bring a lawn chair/blanket.

StuffieLove creates beautiful handmade, one of a kind Stuffies for everyone to enjoy and love.

Each Stuffie is designed and created with care and attention to detail in a clean, smoke free environment from soft felt, brightly coloured yarns, and beautiful beads. ​

Custom designs, colours, and animals are encouraged and welcome.

 

Upcoming Workshops
What: Introduction to Chalk Pastel Class
          This introductory workshop is open to all students interesting in learning the basics of dry chalk pastel drawing in pencil form. Building on some of the basics of art elements and principles of design, students will be able to experiment with chalk pastel that is different from typical pastel or graphite drawing. All materials included in cost of registration.

Where: Glenhyrst Art Gallery - Main Gallery space
              20 Ava Rd. Brantford
When: May 5th 2018 from 12-4pm
Cost: $80/non-member or $60/member
What: Introduction to Chalk Pastels
         In this introductory chalk pastel class, students will build on the basic elements and principles of design. Explore and experiment with chalk pastel. Chalk is different from typical oil pastel or graphite drawing.  Students are asked to bring a few images they are interested in drawing.  All materials included in cost of registration. No experience required.

Where: South Gate Centre
              191 Old Wellington Rd. Woodstock
When: May 17th 2018 from 2:15-5pm
Cost: $35/non-member or $25/member
What: Portfolio PA Day
        High school students are invited to register for an afternoon mentorship session with award winning emerging arts professional, Mercedes Schuster. Schuster will address portfolio preparation and include a number of activities to hone such skills required to pursue post-secondary studies in the visual arts.

Where: The Woodstock Art Gallery
              449 Dundas St. Woodstock
When: April 27th 2018 from 1-4pm
Cost: $45/non-member or $35/member
What: Teen Summer Workshop
        This summer, students have the opportunity to work with arts professional, Mercedes Schuster. Students will be introduced to contemporary and traditional drawing practices, exploring popular artists and art fundamentals through hands-on studio experience. Tour current exhibitions, and build your portfolio. Students are required to bring appropriate clothing, sunscreen, a snack and imagination!

Where: The Woodstock Art Gallery

When: July 23-25th 2018 from 1-4:30pm
Cost: $100/non-member or $85/member

 
Children and Adult Private Art Lessons

​One on one time with lessons suited to the student's skill level. Students will learn how to properly draw using graphite pencils and/or chalk pastel pencils and learn and utilize correct terminology.

$25/lesson *buy 6 lessons in advance and get the sixth free!*

Kids Drawing Lessons

ages 8-16

  • explore the strengths and weaknesses of drawing with graphite pencils

  • learn proper vocabulary and tools used in drawing

  • learn and expand on the elements and principles of design

Adult Drawing Lessons

  • students will be introduced to the chalk pastel medium

  • discover the differences and strengths of chalk pastel compared to graphite pencils!

  • explore new depths and contrasts with chalk pastels
