WAN Publishes New Guidance Document on UN Environment
In December 2017, WAN attended the 3rd United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA), and just this March, WAN was invited back to Nairobi to chair a session at a civil society consultation. Now that the theme for the next UNEA (March 2019) has been announced, WAN is working to strengthen animal protection organization participation at UNEA and is pleased to announce a new guidance document. The Sustainable Development Agenda in Your Country
Part of the review process for the UN’s Sustainable Development Agenda includes “Voluntary National Reviews” (VNRs). VNRs provide the opportunity for animal protection organizations to demonstrate the importance of animal protection to the Sustainable Development Agenda on a national level.
