Earn six (6) MCLE Professionalism/Ethics credits including the Mental Health & Substance Abuse credits, and join the ranks of esteemed LAP Volunteers trained to recognize and address mental health and substance abuse issues. 


Building a strong legal community means: 
  • being responsible for educating ourselves about mental health in the legal profession; 
  • supporting lawyers and judges in need through peer support; 
  • 100% confidentiality and confidence in the recognizing and referring process.
 
Learn how to support colleagues and friends. Learn about LAP's programs and services, and better understand the effects of mental health concerns and addiction.

Chicago: Loyola University Chicago School of Law  
Carbondale: Southern Illinois University Law School 

$35 includes breakfast and lunch

The Lawyers' Assistance Program is a non-for profit that provides mental health and addiction services for lawyers, judges and law students.  We serve the legal community through individual short-term counseling, group therapy, interventions, assessments, referrals, and evidence-based education.  All of our services are free and confidential.
