Dear Friends and Family,
I pray this letter finds you abiding in the love and joy of our Savior.

In the past month and a half I have said good bye to family and friends in Colorado, traveled 13,443 miles, eaten a plate of “bubble and squeak” for breakfast, given an impromptu sermon from a street corner in London, Visited friends old and new in The Czech Republic, taken my first flight on a propeller plane, had an opportunity to share the Gospel with a lady on a plane in Germany because she thought what I was doing with my life sounded “a little bizarre”, flown to Uganda, connected with the short term team from Rocky Mountain Calvary, taken a 5 hour bus ride to Gulu, moved into a new apartment, and spent a lot of time with the best people on earth, God’s people. 

Czech Republic

On my way to Uganda I had the opportunity to spend a week with my friends and fellow missionaries, Milan and Zita in the Czech Republic. I had the privilege of teaching both the mid week and Sunday morning service at the church that they have planted. I also joined them for two sports outreaches where Milan and I were able to share the Gospel with a couple of teenage guys. Please keep their ministry in your prayers as they are dealing, in general, with a nation that has closed their hearts to the Gospel. Pray that God would raise up fellow workers with them in the ministry there.

Short Term Team

I arrived in Uganda on march 14th at about 1:00pm. 10 hours after that, the short term team from Rocky Mountain Calvary Arrived. They spent about two weeks here teaching at the Pastors conference, ministering in the prisons and schools, and doing a lot of painting at the church, the B.A.M, and the medical clinic. 

Day to Day Life

Now that I’m finally on the ground here I want to share with you what a normal week looks like for me. Within the ministry I am working primarily with the pastoral training aspect. Currently we are preparing to teach the book of Ezekiel. We’ve been spending our mornings from 9:00-12:30 studying and preparing to teach. In the afternoons we’ve been working on putting together curriculum for the next class which will begin to go through Genesis in July. Please pray that we would be attentive to the Holy Spirit as we study and teach, that our heart would be convicted and changed through the word of God, and we would be able to accurately present the word of God as He designed it to be understood. On Sundays I’m attending Church at Calvary Chapel Gulu. And aside from that I’m spending my time building relationships with people here, and learning how to do some sack farming, and traditional gardening. 

             Prayer requests and financial details 

• That I would be filled with wisdom and boldness to declare the word of God in truth.
• That I would abide in the Love of Christ, finding strength and victory in Him.
• 2 Timothy 2:21-22
• For the Ugandan Church, that it would be built up and established in the word of God, Love of Christ, and in the Fellowship of the Spirit.
• For the team of Missionaries working in Uganda: for unity, wisdom, and direction.
