St. Mark’s in Mission and Service

St. Mark’s is involved in a number of missions and service projects, including:

We work to improve the living conditions of thousands of homeless persons in our area.  We are a chartering partner of the Community Christian Service Agency (CCSA), providing food, clothing, and resources to more than 28,000 people in need each year, from locations in Pacific Beach and Clairemont (just one-half block north of St. Mark’s).

  • We help provide for the needs of refugee communities both here in San Diego and around the world.
  • We help provide housing and relief to those who are the victims of hurricanes, fires, and floods worldwide.
  • We have built homes and are currently helping to complete a school nearby in Tijuana.
  • We provide support to those in need in our neighboring Linda Vista Vietnamese community, to seminaries in Fiji, and to the United Methodist Church on Saipan.

If you would like to be part of these or any other projects, you’re invited to an open meeting of our missions team at 11AM on April 15 in the Social Hall.  Come hear what we have been doing, what we plan to do, and what you can do to advance God’s work in the world.  All are invited, just come on by!

The Carnival Is Coming! The Carnival Is Coming!

St. Mark's friends and families are all invited to the fun on Saturday, April 28, when St. Mark's School hosts their Annual Carnival. From 10AM to 2PM., the church grounds will be filled with games, activities, food, and an incredible silent auction with something for all ages.

Children are invited to the fun that has a theme of "Under the Big Top".

The Silent Auction is not to be missed. It's NOT just for kids. There are dinners around town, museums, tours, and activities all over San Diego . Our auction items always go for less than full value, so this is bargain shopping for a great cause. Carnival proceeds add to St. Mark’s School’s Financial Aid Fund, so it's terribly important to the children of the school.
