Where in the World are Our Listeners?

This week we're giving a shout out to Tallinn, Estonia. The capital of Estonia is one of the best preserved medieval cities in Europe and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It's referred to as the 'Silicon Valley of Europe' having the highest number of startups per person in Europe. While the winters are very cold it's a popular seaside destination in the summer. If you do visit the city make sure to enjoy the coffee and baked goods in Maiasmokk, the country's oldest running café, started in 1864.

Tip of the week - Call long distance

In a large scale emergency local phone lines & cell towers can become jammed. It's often easier to get through on a long distance line. Make a plan with your loved ones that each of you will call the same friend or relative in another state or country to check in and let people know if you're safe or need help.

Look clever at a cocktail party

Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming, USA sits on a super volcano. It last erupted 640,000 years ago when it sent 250 cubic miles (1,000 cubic kms) of material into the air. It's estimated the volcano erupts around every 600,000 years and if it did erupt it would cover about half of the United States in 3 feet (1 meter) of ash.
