China traffic boosts Hong Kong SAR arrivals growth in February 2018
With significant year-on-year growth of 40.2 percent in February 2018, China remained the number one source market for international visitor arrivals into Hong Kong SAR, thereby boosting its contribution share from 75.1 percent in February 2017 to 83.3 percent in February this year. However, the destination witnessed the decline from some key source markets including Korea (ROK) (-18.3%), Chinese Taipei (-11.4%), Japan (-25.8%) and USA (-4.9%). Despite this overall dip, Hong Kong SAR still ended with 26.3 percent growth in this period.
