GAW event at IVEY focused on celebrating the establishment of Alumni Local Committee in Toronto. To commemorate, they had the second annual CEMS Alumni Day Mixer at the Eaton Centre Joey's in Toronto. Students and Alumni from every graduating class of CEMS at Ivey were able to mix and mingle over delicious miniature burgers, sushi, and spring rolls. The event was the largest to date thanks to the support of Ameena Bajar, Robert Freele, and Soraya Zidane on the Toronto Local Committee executive team, Ivey program office, and the masters of science student association (MScA) at Ivey. The CEMC Club couldn't have done it without their help and look forward to having an even bigger turnout next year.

Three events were organized by Local Committee Chile and CEMS Club Santiago The Kick-off event was a conference about sustainable business, kindly given by a UAI Professor, José Luis Opazo and gathered around 30 CEMSies. "Call For Action" from the Student Board was read out at the end of the presentation and participants were offered to buy the Good Citizen Card that gives discounts at local vegetarian and vegan restaurants. Karaoke Night gave great networking opportunities and fun. They laughed a lot, got out of our comfort zone when singing, and enjoyed the night. BBQ Friday closed the GAW local celebration with a great participation with current CEMSies and Alumni that brought everyone together.

The GAW started off with an event with Bayer where CEMS and UoC Alumni of Bayer gave interesting insights about Bayer’s approach to innovation. Together with the entire audience, that consisted of a nice mixture of students and alumni, everyone enjoyed a nice gin tasting and a cocktail workshop in a very relaxed atmosphere that gave plenty of space for nice conversations. The TimeRide VR Cologne was the perfect location for the second GAW event. Students and alumni time travelled through Cologne and could experience how Cologne looked like in the imperial era with the help of virtual reality. After this unique experience, it was time to visit a typical Cologne brewery pub to talk about the virtual reality experience and get to know each other. Meanwhile, Beiersdorf made it possible for CEMS Alumni and students in the north of Germany to participate in the GAW at Beiersdorf’s headquarters. This event shared insights on NIVEA's Influencer Marketing and followed by a networking dinner. Read further about this event HERE.
