Events

Coolest Projects UK and International are just around the corner!

There's still time to buy tickets, or to sign up as a volunteer, for Coolest Projects, our creative tech showcase for young people (aged up to 18) from all over the world. It offers young members of the international Code Club, CoderDojo, Raspberry Jam, and wider Raspberry Pi community the opportunity to present their projects to thousands of other enthusiastic makers.

Community

"After attending Picademy, I was inspired to increase digital making opportunities for students and educators in Minnesota! As a makerspace teacher at an alternative high school, I knew that the best way to introduce Raspberry Pi projects to students was in a real-world context, and so I wrote a grant that integrates digital making with design thinking and entrepreneurship through partnerships with local startups, non-profits, and community groups. Through this programme, we will be building prototypes that serve a purpose for our community!

Additionally, I work with educators through the MN Coding in the Classroom Leadership Cohort, a free, year-long professional development opportunity for K-12 and community educators. We kicked off this year with a Raspberry Pi workshop, and are planning a Raspberry Jam in conjunction with our annual Coding in the Classroom Summit in May."

Andrea Wilson-Vazquez is a makerspace and computer science educator, and a Raspberry Pi Certified Educator. Connect with her on Twitter to start a conversation.

Could you translate our projects?

At the Raspberry Pi Foundation, we want to reach as many children across the world as we can, no matter what language they speak. Volunteering to translate our projects is a great way to support us in achieving this goal. No prior tech knowledge is needed to be a translator, and we'll support you at each step of the process.

Complete our short sign-up form to tell us how you can help!
