Public Open House: CN Train Operations Impact Study

This will include a consideration of impacts on the transportation network, emergency service response, residents, businesses / commerce, environment and safety.

Preliminary recommendations will first explore all feasible opportunities to relocate through freight operations onto other active rail corridors, and secondly by evaluating strategic grade separation candidate sites.

The purpose of this event is to introduce the study, identify the key objectives and provide an overview of the rail operations review, traffic modelling and socio-economic assessment. The second Open House is planned for May 31, 2018 to present the preliminary recommendations.
