A very special author event.

If you have a child who loves science or being in the kitchen - then this is the event for them! The Kitchen Science Cookbook with Dr. Michelle Dickinson a.k.a Nanogirl.

We have loved The Kitchen Science Cookbook since it was just an idea and Michelle popped in to talk to us about it. Now it is a reality we are stoked to be hosting her to celebrate the launch of The Kitchen Science Cookbook!

This Saturday morning Michelle will be in our kitchen talking all about how cool science is and demonstrating a couple of the awesome kitchen experiments from the book.

Places are limited and all the details on how to book are below.
If you can follow a recipe, you can explore science! The Kitchen Science Cookbook presents science in a way that is easy to follow, familiar and widely accessible. The book aims to enable families to enjoy exploring science at home together in the kitchen - you can even eat some of the results! The book contains 50 experiments, suitable for young scientists from 3-15. Each has been rigorously tested by a community of 2000 young scientists  worldwide to ensure ease of understanding and ready availability of ingredients.

The Kitchen Science Cookbook is a beautifully presented hardcover recipe book and each recipe is accompanied by a full-page photograph.

Every book sold helps support Nanogirl Labs - a social enterprise - in their work to inspire educate and empower through STEM, ensuring that science education is accessible to all.
As well as being an all round awesome person - Dr Michelle Dickinson (MNZM) is a nanotechnologist, researcher and educator. She has made it her life mission to make science and engineering accessible for all.

Well known for her science communication work in New Zealand, Michelle is a founder of Nanogirl Labs Ltd, and the company’s CTO.

A Member of New Zealand Order of Merit, Michelle was winner of the Women of Influence award for science and innovation in 2016, became a Sir Peter Blake Leader in 2015, and was the winner of the Prime Ministers Science Media Communication Prize and the New Zealand Association of Scientists Science Communicators Award in 2014.
