MESSAGE FROM BOARD CHAIRPERSON
_____________________________________________

The Board of HousingWorks Austin is excited to announce the appointment of Nora Linares-Moeller to serve as the organization’s new Executive Director, effective immediately.

Nora has been a critical part of the HousingWorks team for many years. She was vital to the success of our recent conferences on housing and economic opportunity and housing and health, and she did an outstanding job serving as our Interim Executive Director since August of 2017. Under her leadership, I am confident HousingWorks will continue to grow the discussion our city is having to provide all kinds of homes, in all parts of town of people, for all kinds of people.

Nora brings a wealth of management experience to the position.

On March 2, 2018, HousingWorks Austin and the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas co-hosted a follow-up to our 2016 summit on Housing and Health. Representatives of the Dallas Fed and other financial agencies explained how community-based organizations in low- and middle-Income neighborhoods can qualify for assistance from banks through the CRA.
