Judging by the weather, it may not seem that the 2018 tennis season is just around the corner, but it is now only two weeks until the first week of matches. The ladies start on Wednesday 18 April and the men on Thursday 19 April. Perhaps spring will have arrived by then!

Drafts of the fixture lists can be viewed by following the links above. Can those responsible please check for any possible mistakes (missing fixtures, duplicate fixtures, too many home matches) by Saturday 7 April.

Captains, Ranked Players & Nominated Players
|
|
All clubs now need to provide the following information to League Secretary, Lorn Shanks leaguesec@tennisayrshire.org.uk:
- Team captain names, with both email address and mobile number.
- 1st divisions teams must provide a list of 6 nominated players, or 12 if the club has 2 teams in the division, in ranking order of ability.
- Clubs whose 1st team is not in the 1st division must nominate 4 1st team players.

The only change this year relates to the match scoring. Following the difficulties we had in getting the LTA's online system to record an additional point for winning a rubber, this has now been abandoned. For 2018, there will be one point awarded per set won, a total of nine points available per 3 rubber match.
