eVTOL Short Course at AHS Forum 74

The number of eVTOL aircraft in development is growing rapidly, with more than 60 designs already announced. Over $1 billion has been invested in the past five years to develop new eVTOL aircraft with much more to come.

AHS—The Vertical Flight Society will be hosting a 1-day Short Course on eVTOL Technology on May 14 in conjunction with the AHS 74th Annual Forum in Phoenix, Arizona. The course will be given by world-class VTOL and eVTOL lecturers from industry, academia and government.

The morning section will focus on the principles, e.g.: aeromechanics of high disk loading props, trim and transient characteristics of VTOL aircraft, electrochemical power, and permanent magnet machines and drives. The afternoon will focus on technologies: NASA's integrated design tool for VTOL/eVTOL, detailed design examples, and flight-worthy power-train construction, integration and testing.

For more information, including the detailed course syllabus, or to register:
https://vtol.org/eVTOL-course. The course fee is $275.

The 74th Annual Forum early bird registration deadline is tomorrow, Friday, April 6! Forum 74 is the world's largest vertical flight technical conference and will eVTOL technical papers, the eVTOL short course, and special panels on electric and hybrid-electric VTOL:
