Bothy Project seek to appoint an experienced Creative Director to lead the organisation at an exciting new stage in its development.

The objective of Bothy Project is to create platforms for artists and researchers to journey and explore the history, landscape and people in the areas surrounding the Bothies and create outputs based on these residencies. A newly confirmed charity, Bothy Project now seek a full time Creative Director to deliver on its objective and expand the reach and impact of the organisation.

The role of the Creative Director is to work with the Bothy Project trustees to deliver the charitable aims of the Bothy Project. The Creative Director will be Bothy Project's main representative and point of contact for funding bodies, corporate sponsors, artists and arts organisations partnering with the Bothy Project. Our sister company Bothy Stores has launched the Artist Bothy and the prototype is now installed in Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop's courtyard.

This pioneering piece of low impact architecture is designed to enhance the experience of spending time in nature. An intense process of research and refinement has culminated in an innovative, contemporary cabin that is firmly rooted in the traditions of rural living.

The Artist Bothy is commercially available to order with funds raised through commercial sales going towards supporting artist residencies at Bothy Project's bespoke network of residency spaces.

Bothy Stores' collection of objects within the Artist Bothy is available to view Tuesday to Friday 10am - 4pm.

On show and available to buy are many items from the Pioneers project curated by Katy West, as well as specially commissioned furniture from Colin Parker.
