A Note from Administration - Safety Reminders During Arrival

Dear Lutz Preparatory Families,

Our Administration is extremely concerned with an ongoing trend of parents dropping off their students in the parking lots and having them walk alone through the lot and then cross in front of moving cars to avoid the morning carloops.  This not only puts the students in danger of walking through the parking lot and crossing traffic unsupervised but also slows down the flow of the car loop when it is forced to stop and allow those students to cross.  We completely understand that mornings can be hectic with family members getting to school, work, and other commitments on time but on the Lutz Preparatory campus student and staff safety must always come first.  Students may only be dropped off in the car loops under the supervision of our staff and safety patrol, they may not be dropped off in the parking lots.  Thank you for your understanding and cooperation with this very important safety policy.

In addition, there is NO SUPERVISION prior to 7:30 AM for students.  The following are important reminders of school policies*:

  • Students must remain in the cars under the supervision of parents until our administrative staff opens the front doors and safety patrols report to their stations.
  • Students may arrive to the school grounds and be dropped off beginning at 7:30 AM.
  • Any student dropped off before 7:30 AM must be escorted and report to Before Care or remain supervised by a guardian.
  • If families have early morning commitments, morning care begins at 7:00 AM in the preschool building where students may be dropped off;  please click HERE to view the details for the morning care program.

There are no exceptions to arrival policy before 7:30 AM unless arrangements have been made in advance by Lutz Preparatory staff (i.e. Safety Patrols, Tutoring, or by Appointment only).

Thank you for your partnership in our student's education and safety. Go Bolts!

Sincerely,

Bonnie Guertin
Lutz Preparatory Director

PTA Updates
All Pro Dad Meeting

Hey Dads and Kids...  Only a little more than two months remaining until summer.  Take this opportunity to join us for April's Lutz Prep/Lutz Pre-Prep All Pro Dad - Dad’s and Kid’s Breakfast (second to last one this year).  This month's topic is "Excellence".  Big Idea: The definition of excellence is “the quality of being outstanding or extremely good.” But how do we get there? What about the practice and preparation it takes to become excellent? This month we’ll dive into what it means to stand out from the crowd and go above and beyond so you can produce excellent results.

Team up with other Lutz Prep Dads and kids for a quick before-school breakfast on Wednesday, April 11th, 2018.  Doors open at 7:00 AM.  The program starts at 7:15 and ends at 7:45. It’s fun and it’s free.  You and your kids will be glad you came!  Great way to start the morning.  Contact Ryan Martin with any questions.
