Special PAC Meeting with Tuesday's Child
 
The PAC is very pleased to announce a special meeting on Thursday morning, April 5th from 8:45-10:15 a.m. in the Peterson School Cafeteria with Tuesday's Child.

Tuesday's Child was created in 1980 in order to help parents deal with their children's challenging behaviors.  Please join us to learn about specific interventions that will help with children's challenging behaviors.

As always, we will have a delicious breakfast, coffee & tea available.  And we have a box of activities for younger children to play with as well.   

We look forward to seeing you there!

Peterson LSC Elections


Please note that LSC Elections will take place at Peterson during Report Card Pick-Up on Wednesday, April 18th.  Parents and members of the community are eligible to vote for both the parent and community member slots on the LSC.

STEM Fair Work Nights


Do you have a 5th-8th grade student who is participating in the STEM Fair this year (formerly known as the Science Fair)?  There will be two special Work Nights sponsored by the PTA on Thursday, April 5th and Thursday, April 12th for students to get assistance with their projects. 

Please note that in order to participate, students must turn in a permission slip. 
SEL Night

Thank you to all the families who attended the first-ever SEL Night on March 22nd!  It was great to hear from those both within Peterson as well as community organizations, and we are so glad that many Peterson families could attend.

The PAC was created to help support the role of parents and the school as equal partners in children’s education. The primary purpose of the PAC is to empower parents to inspire and assist their children in achieving their educational goals.
Peterson Information Sessions

Do you know someone interested in having their child attend Peterson?  The next Information Sessions for prospective parents and families will be held in the Peterson Cafeteria on Tuesday, May 1st at 6 p.m. and Wednesday, May 2nd at 9 a.m. 

Kindergarten Orientation for all incoming kindergarten students and their families will be held the evening of Thursday, May 17th.  More details on Kindergarten Orientation and New Student Registration for the 2018-19 school year will be available soon.  

Park District Summer Camps


The Chicago Park District will release information about their six-week summer camps on April 9th with online registration beginning on April 23rd and 24th at 9 a.m.
