Help us celebrate National Library Week!
Join the Mercer County District Libraries in celebrating National Library Week April 8-14. "Libraries Lead" is the theme for National Library Week which is a national observance sponsored by the American Library Association (ALA) and libraries across the country each April. It is a time to celebrate the contributions of our nation's libraries and librarians and to promote library use and support.
Libraries today are more than repositories for books and other resources. Often the heart of their communities, campuses or schools, libraries are deeply committed to the places where their patrons live, work and study. Libraries are trusted places where everyone in the community can gather to reconnect and reengage with each other to enrich and shape the community.
Each of our locations will be hosting events and giveaways all week as described below!

Celina Promotions
This year, the Mercer County District Library has partnered with local businesses to offer a 10% discount during the week of April 8-14th. Patrons simply show any library card to a participating establishment to receive the discount. (See restaurants for restrictions.) Participants include Bella’s Italian Grille, Brew Nation, Celina Wine Store, C-Town Wings, CJ’s Highmarks, Hazelnut Coffee, Lake City Creamery, and Pullman Bay. Any library card is valid. Enjoy!
Trivia Night is Back!
 Join us for Trivia Night at Brew Nation (110 S. Main St.) on April 10th. You even get 10% off of food with our restaurant promotions! (Don't forget your library card.) Gather your smartest group of friends and family to challenge your knowledge on four rounds of questions and a puzzle page. There will be prizes awarded to the top 3 teams! Registration begins at 6 pm with questions promptly starting at 7 pm. Adults 18 years and older only.
Storytime Fun
Children will be to use their creativity to make different crafts at Rooster storytime on Tuesday and Thursday morning at 10:30 am.

For the Kids
Kids can stop in the library and guess who our local readers are for a chance to win a $10 Dairy Station gift certificate.
For the Adults
Adults can enter for a chance to win a free book by going to our Facebook page. Like and comment why you love our library and don't forget to share it with friends! Also, everyone can stop in and grab a Lifesavers candy and learn how our librarians can be research life savers.
For the Family
On Tuesday, April 10th the 6:30 pm we will be holding a special Family Health Night. Nursing s tudents will be checking children's height, weight, showing them how to correctly brush their teeth and wash their hands. Adults and kids can have their blood pressure taken. Goodie bags will also be handed out to each child.

Mendon Branch Events
The Library will be having some trivia games and name the author for a chance to win a gift card. All ages may participate.

St. Henry Branch Events
Guessing Jar Giveaway
All ages are welcome to guess how many prizes are in the jar. The closest to the actual number will win all the prizes in the jar!
Drawing Giveaways
Adults - Chance to win a Mercer County District Library swag bag with a book. 3 lucky winners
Teens - Chance to win an adult coloring book, a fidget spinner, or a selfie stick
Kids - Chance to win a Barbie fishing pole, tractor book, or an airplane glider kit.
Facebook "This or That" Poll
Each day we will post two pictures of book covers. Cast your vote by "liking" this or "loving" that as to which one you would rather read solely based off the cover.
Picture Book Scavenger Hunt
Kids who complete the challenge will earn an extra entry in to the drawing and receive a small piece of candy. There will also be "I love my library" coloring pages available.
