Tree Seedling Sales Day
Pre-Orders Now Available Until April 24, 2018

NIAGARA FALLS, ON - The Park in the City Committee encourages local residents, businesses, and schools to plant native trees to help restore health to our urban environment.  As part of the one-day-only promotion, the Committee sells native seedlings for $5.00 each.  Over the past several years, more than 3,000 seedlings have been sold.  This year, seedlings can be purchased at the MacBain Community Centre starting at 9 a.m. on Saturday, April 28th.  Tree species selected for sale are Shagbark Hickory, Pin Oak, Sugar Maple, Sycamore, and White Cedar.  Seedlings will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. 
 
Pre-orders are available now until April 24th.  All pre-orders can be made at the MacBain Community Centre and the Gale Centre with advanced payment (cash, cheque, or debit).  Pre-orders can be made at the MacBain Community Centre, Customer Service Centre from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekdays, and at the Gale Centre seven days a week from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.  All pre-order purchases can be picked up on event day at the MacBain Community Centre with proof of purchase.  Seedlings are limited.  For more information, visit www.niagarafalls.ca/pitc or call Recreation & Culture at 905-356-7521 ext. 3330.
