REGISTRATION FROM 05:00 AND START 6:00

* Determine your own distance (15 to 45km). The nature of the course will allow for incomplete laps.

* 5 fixed water points on route stocked with Coke, Powerade/Energade, water and snacks

* Run on quiet shaded streets with very little traffic, no big hills and relatively flat.

 
Running Form and Posture Talk

11 April 2018 From 18:30 - 19:30 at the Magnolia club house

RacePace Coaching
would like to talk to you about running form and posture and how improving it could make your everyday running experience much better.

The event is free to all Magnolia Club members and friends
 
There will be tea and coffee and a cash bar

Magnolian of the month

The Magnolia Committee decided to announce a Magnolian of the Month in order to introduce all the movers and shakers to the club, based on any form of service/contribution or achievement.

For the month of April we decided to award this to Stephan Koch.
Stephan improved his running over the last year and achieved outstanding results in distances from 10km to 32km. He will be toeing the line for his first marathon on May 1st at the Wally Hayward race. Magnolia wish him the best of luck and a perfect day.

Look out for the new bright blue club tent on:
  •  8 April Modern Athlete Irene Ultra &21km
  •  21 April Loskop Ultra marathon
The club tent will be at all Pretoria races on weekends unless specified otherwise. No club tent at races on Wednesdays. 

Cold drinks and snacks are provided by the club.
PLEASE NOTE: Beer/ciders will be available at no cost at races with a distance of 32km and more, otherwise beer will be sold for R12 and ciders for R15.

Distance: +-24km
Start: Magnolia Club houses, 229 Middel Street
Cost: R15 per runner to cover costs of drink.

Race Pace coaching

Speed work is the core of what drives improvement in our running. So Magnolia has joined forces with Clinton Hunter from RacePace Coaching to provide group coaching sessions to all Magnolia members who are interested in improving their running in 2018.
These coaching sessions are for old, young, slow and fast.
The professional coaching sessions will be paid for by the club, so it will be free of charge to our members.

When: Wednesdays
Where: Harlequins Cricket Field (Where the Sunrise monster race finishes)
Time: 16:30/17:00/17:30 ( You can slot in with any group)

Tuesday running groups

The Magnolia Club captains will host a running group every Tuesday from 17:00 from the club. Those interested in joining can meet them at the club house on Tuesdays. The route will vary between 8 and 10km. Contact Freddie du Plessis or Tinus Marais

Tuesday club braai

2018 is on the way and we can start braaiing again.

Every first Tuesday of the month Magnolia hosts a very informal social club braai. You are welcome to bring your meat, snacks, friends and the rest of the family for a braai. We provide the fires. Everyone is welcome!!

Your 2018 ASA licence numbers can be collected at the club house on;
Tuesdays 17:30 – 18:30  
Sundays @ Club runs.

Please bring your email-printout and proof of payment to receive your AGN number. No number will be given without these documents.

ALL MAGNOLIA MEMBERS are required to go check their details on the ASA website under the following link: https://asa.saclubs.co.za/register

We still have numerous Magnolia members who have not registered or arranged their transfers from other clubs. We created profiles for some of those members who have not done so. These members can either use their name or ID number as password to log in.
