Planning your summer vacation? It's not too early to consider the books to bring with you. Tackling Game of Thrones? War and Peace? Outlander? Save space, weight and bulk by  reading them on your ereader or tablet.

As a Peru Library card holder you have free access to Omni, eRead Illinois and Tumblebooks. Borrowing, downloading and returning ebooks and eadiobooks at the touch of a finger.

With OMNI you have access to ebooks, eaudio and evideo (streaming in your broswer). Libby is the new app for OMNI. Search your app store for Overdrive's Libby, adding the app to your device.

eRead Illinois has ebooks and eaudios, with multiple copies of the new bestsellers. Use the Axis360 app for eRead Illinois, it also in your app store.  Search and download for Axis360 (Baker & Taylor)

TumbleBooks, for children and young ages, is a shared catalog with the Peru Elementary School District. Anywhere you have internet access you can read a TumbleBook.

What to Read Next

The Peru Library has various options for choosing your next book. Tell a staff member what you like to read and ask for suggestion for titles or authors. We love suggesting books - new and old - to read. Or try our reader's advisory tools - LibraryReads or BookPage.

Chosen by library staff from across the county, LibraryReads is a monthly list of new adult fiction and non-fiction books.
"LibraryReads is designed to be inclusive and diverse, representing a broad range of reading tastes and showcasing a variety of new titles" from the LibraryReads website. We add many of the LibraryReads suggestions to our collection. The monthly list is with the new books display.

The library also has BookPage available for choosing your next book. BookPage covers adult, teen and children's books in fiction and non-fiction. The paper edition arrives at the library about the 12th of each month.
