Living Water already gives to missionaries and missions organizations and through Kingdom Builders we can fund the Great Commission faster !
Kingdom Builders also gives us the opportunity to support key missions projects such as providing humanitarian aid, church planting, missionary vehicles, Gospel resources, and pastoral training. Everyone, in every nation, deserves a chance to hear the Gospel. We believe God will enable us to raise $100,000 for Global Missions in 2018. The very first project that we are funding is the one our missions team from Living Water will be helping with when they go to Puerto Rico in June.
Puerto Rico Assemblies of God Superintendent Iván De La Torre is extending an invitation. “We have the logistics in place to rebuild,” De La Torre told PE NEWS. “Now we’re ready to receive help.”
Fourteen mission-minded people from Living Water are going to Puerto Rico June 3-10, 2018 through Convoy of Hope. The island of Puerto Rico sustained immense damage from Hurricane Maria last year. Many are still without reliable water or electrical power. Convoy of Hope is active in 95 communities in Puerto Rico. The Living Water team will be serving in Toa Alta. The team's primary responsibilities will be preparing meals for the community, clean up and minor home repairs. Convoy of Hope has asked Living Water to raise $5,000 to pay for the supplies for the work we will accomplish during the 7 days we are there. David Womelsdorf (one of the missionaries LW supports) knows firsthand how God will meet you where you live. Case in point: God is using his passion for fitness to plant a church in the Lincoln Square neighborhood of Chicago. David’s job at a local American Ninja Warriors gym where he coaches kids ages 2-13 has placed him in a unique position. “This is our open door into the community,” he says. “God has used our passions to begin unfolding this vision that he dropped into our hearts years ago. I never dreamed that being an American Ninja Warrior could correlate with ministry.” On March 29, David received notification that he had been selected to appear on the American Ninja Warrior show as part of the Indianapolis competition. After months of prayer and research on where to plant their church, they eventually targeted the Lincoln Square neighborhood. “It has two demographics – young families like ours and millennials,” David says. “Millennials are leaving the church in droves. We believe we have a responsibility to reach out to them.”
David and Britannica have assembled a church planting team of about 24 people – some from Southwest Community, others from the city. They hold team meetings twice each month and will undergo church planter training. They anticipate launching their new church Vive in September 2018.
