It's been a busy start to the year and great to farewell some fantastic clients which we completed handover with in the new year.
2017 was a huge year for all of us here at TCON and 2018 is shaping up to be even bigger! With over five years under our belt we felt the time was right to freshen up the TCON brand and modernise our look.

Current Project Status -
Camberwell - Landscaping complete and this stunning 1927 California Bungalow looks the part inside and out.
Ivanhoe - We got professional photos taken for our 1900's Federation project at Ivanhoe and we are just as thrilled as the new family moving in!
Northcote - Another finished home for fantastic clients, who have a young growing family who moved in with a smile on their face.
Surrey Hills - Handed over last Friday and the clients moved in. Great to get this job over the line for another amazing family, it makes a huge difference building for those who are appreciative.
Ivanhoe East - Pool built, concrete poured, frame and windows in and the plasterers have been called up for install in a few weeks. The finish line is getting closer and closer and we are very excited.
Ivanhoe - Completely locked up, flooring in, windows and doors are in and the Cabinet maker will be arriving shortly to show off this masterpiece. The tuckpointer has arrived and once he walks away this job will be on display with it's facade that can't be missed.
Elwood - Has been overhauled with a full internal strip out of all wet areas and kitchen. Starting to rough in all the new plumbing and electricals, the cabinet maker has measured up and we are good to install joinery shortly.
Thornbury - Is really starting to show it's true colours with all the external work complete, flooring going in and these places will be getting cleaned up in the next few weeks ready for handover. Great job by Cubo Group!

Overview - Built in 1927, this stunning California Bungalow is full of it's original features, 3 metre high ceilings, original windows, flooring, walls, doors and everything else. The client has decided to restore this timber home to all its glory and extend with a modern, architectural open plan living area. We will build a second storey above the extension with 3 bedrooms, bathroom and a retreat upstairs which will seperate the original classic weatherboard and create a perfect contrast between Architectural and Heritage.

Overview - Built in 1913, this stunning tuck pointed brick Federation home has all the original features including slate tiles and is a standout in the suburb. Home to three continuous generations before our clients moved in, the house has been maintained with love. Our task at hand is to extend into the spacious backyard to create a new kitchen, open plan living, study and laundry. We will then push above the 3.3 metre high ceilings downstairs and carefully add two large bedrooms and a bathroom and make this home big enough for the growing family.

Overview - Knock down and rebuild of a classic Victorian weatherboard home in Northcote. The client wants to keep the original design of their home, but the cost to re-engineer it for a second storey on a highly reactive site was going to be tough and expensive. They elected to knock it down and this way can have a custom made family home and their own block of land.

Overview - A project designed and managed by Rod Neil Architects, this beautiful weatherboard home in Surrey Hills will get an external face lift with some great new roof lines and inbuilt rooms in the existing ceiling spaces. A large second storey extension is just what this ever growing family requires with a new living and kitchen area downstairs.

Overview - Combining contemporary design cues with heritage features, number thirty nine is going to shape up to be one of our best projects to date.
The scope is wholesome and leaves no stone unturned in the quest to revive the 1940’s post war home that exists. We will be stripping back to frame in the existing, and opening up the lower ground spaces with expansive structural propping and steel work. The entire home has high end architectural detail by Pleysier Perkins throughout.
The outdoors will be lined with beautiful greenery, crazy paving, pool and a plant list that will wow any horticulturist. This project will be one to watch over the next 9 months for sure. This progressive build will involve a raft of specialist trades and products to implement over the job. Watch this space.

Overview - Another new project and what a beauty! Coming to the rescue of our lovely new clients, we are looking forward to getting stuck in and delivering an awesome finished product for them. Perched high on the hill in Ivanhoe, this Edwardian maximises the amazing views. Spotted Gum flooring and Elliptical Staircase complete with wreathing scrolls, the period features at the front of the house transition to a modern Kitchen and Living. Tuckpointing to the Red Bricks sets off the Façade, and ensures this beauty will be the Belle of the Ball!!

Overview - Helping out a connection of TCON is always rewarding for both parties involved. They receive a professional job in a timely manner and we get to work for great clients who smile at the end of the project. An extensive refurbishments puts two bathrooms, a laundry and kitchen on the cards, with a full repaint and floor finish to complete as well.
Stay tuned for progress as we dive into another wet area reno and turn this tired 90’s build into a showpiece for the whole family.
