Easter blessings to you and yours!

God's Will & Peanut Butter

In college, Andrew Kincheloe wanted a career in which he could live out his Catholic faith. Naturally, that led him to founding a peanut butter company. Young adults are invited to listen to him explain why that's not so far-fetched as it might sound this Sunday at Urban Catholic's Lord's Day event.

St. Anselm

Saturday we celebrate St. Anselm of Canterbury (pictured above left), an 11th century Benedictine monk then Archbishop considered to be the first of the Scholastics, bringing philosophical and rational thought to bolster theological arguments.
O God, who led the Bishop Saint Anselm to seek out and teach the depths of your wisdom, grant, we pray, that our faith in you may so aid our understanding. Amen!

Madonna Mass & Dinner

All women of the parish are invited to the annual Madonna Mass and Dinner hosted by the NCCW on May 2! This is a great opportunity to relax with a glass of wine, a nice meal, and be inspired by our guest speaker as well as the outstanding young women nominated for the Spirit of Mary Award.

Christian Men & #MeToo

Don't miss the next Catholic Watchmen event “Christian Men and #MeToo” next Thursday in Steiner Hall, with a social beginning at 7pm.

Sunday's Readings

In the Acts of the Apostles, Peter announces that a crippled man has been healed by the name of the newly resurrected Jesus, echoing the Psalmist: "He is the stone rejected by you, the builders, which has become the cornerstone." St. John preaches God's great fatherly love for his disciples in his epistle, then in his gospel reveals Jesus as the "good shepherd."

Last weekend's blizzard prevented Fr. Gary Wiesmann of Jamaica from joining us for Mission Sunday, but he will be returning June 2-3.
