The United Methodist Church has a history of becoming involved in issues that affect our communities. Within the last month alone, the Church has rallied against Gun Violence and marched against Racism.
Historically, Colesville UMC has supported AIM - Action in Montgomery - to help for a better life for our congregation in this County.
AIM began in 1998 when clergy and lay leaders came together to discuss how to address the growing pressures on families in their congregations.
Action in Montgomery (AIM) is a broad-based community power organization, rooted in Montgomery County’s neighborhoods and congregations. It is non-partisan, multi-faith, multi-racial, and dedicated to making our county and state a better place to live and thrive. You’ll find AIM working for change: door-to-door and in living rooms, in churches and classrooms, in front of the County Council and at the State House in Annapolis.
Over the next few weeks, AIM will be holding sessions to understand what County Council Candidates think about important issues facing our congregations and working to get out the vote.
Join our pastor, Rev. Dr. Michael Armstrong, at one or more of the upcoming events shown below.
