In a judgement handed down by Judge Dennis Davis in the High Court Cape Town on 18 April 2018 it was ruled that a High Court may not, in the exercise of its inherent jurisdiction as the upper guardian of minor children appoint a Parenting Coordinator if both parties have not agreed to such an appointment.
