About The Pro-Am
The non-profit foundation of the BMW Charity Pro-Am presented by SYNNEX Corporation, was created in order to showcase the beauty of Upstate South Carolina and the hospitality of its citizens to the world; to create an event that brings the Upstate a fun and entertaining week centered around professional athletes and world renowned celebrities; and raise money and awareness for South Carolina charities.
Since it began in 2001, the tournament has raised a total of $12.7 million! In 2017, 14 Upstate charities benefitting from the BMW Charity Pro-Am presented by SYNNEX Corporation received $631,495 to further support their respective philanthropic missions.
Upstate SC STEM Collaborative is proud to have been selected as one of four featured charities for this year’s BMW Charity Pro-Am. Proceeds from the tournament will help support our mission to promote and support STEM education and career readiness for Pre-K – 16 students in Upstate, SC. Funding will be used to support our STEM programs, including our signature iMAGINE Upstate STEAM Festival. But in order to benefit, we need your help!
Here Are Three Ways To Get Involved:
1. Become a Volunteer
This is a great way for ANYONE to get involved! Experience a fun, exciting day on the green and see celebrity golfers while supporting Upstate SC STEM Collaborative and iMAGINE Upstate! Be sure to select Upstate SC STEM Collaborative when you register! 50% of your registration fee of $40 goes toward Upstate SC STEM Collaborative and iMAGINE Upstate.

2. Participate in Birdies for Charity
A fun and easy way to donate! Birdies for Charity is like a walk-a-thon but instead of donating per mile, donors make a pledge for every birdie made during The BMW Charity Pro-Am tournament week. The person who is closest to the actual number of birdies made, without going over, will win a one month lease on a BMW and (4) BMW Performance Center Driving Experiences! Be sure to select Upstate SC STEM Collaborative when you pledge or donate! We will receive 100% of the proceeds!
