College Mental Health Programs Newsletter

Now Accepting Applications for Summer NITEO!

This summer, we'll offer an 11-week program providing young adults with opportunities to stay engaged in school and continue to practice and build academic, personal, health and social wellness.

Learn more about NITEO from alumni who share their experiences in the program learning to live well and thrive in the valued role of their choice.

NITEO Summer

Classes run Monday, Wednesday, & Friday June 11 – August 24, 2018.
The fee is $1200, and College Coaching can be added for an additional fee: $1800 or $1500 for NITEO alumni.
Financial assistance through the Center may be available to students and families based on need, as we do not work with insurance companies.
The Summer Schedule is below.

Monday Classes
10:00-4:30

Writing Seminar: Practice critical thinking & skills involved in synthesizing original essays 

Healthy Eating: Plan, shop for, and prepare lunch & the week's meals 


Ideas Worth Discussing: Develop communication skills & leadership through facilitating discussions 

LEAD BU: Explore & practice wellness tools, academic strategies, & work skills needed for balancing wellbeing & life responsibilities
 
Wednesday Classes
10:00-5:00

Turning the Page: Cultivate literary analysis & skills in writing critical reviews of literature

My iDENTITY: Examine & discuss personal and social identity through hands-on exercises & discussions


*Anything Goes Fitness: Exercise mind & body through physical activities

*Open Studio: Practice wellness strategies through expressive arts including music, photography, & videography


*Students choose to enroll in either Anything Goes Fitness or Open Studio
Friday Class 
2:00-5:00

My Boston: Explore the city of Boston from visiting the Aquarium & museums to bowling and playing board games
