The Dream

Our mission on Manitoulin Island is always evolving and although we have just sent you a recent update there has been a new development that God has laid upon our hearts that we are excited to share with you.We are heading into 7 years of service with Daystar at about our third year, Anthony and I started talking about “Fly-In” Community outreach opportunities. We always hoped to travel into the far north to learn of their various needs and how different they are from communities that have road access.

A good friend of ours says you always have to be ready and
willing to serve Christ! and be willing to be "Triple A" . . .
ANY TIME, ANY WHERE, ANY THING!

Recently, we received an email from a coworker who also serves in Fly-In communities, they have a work team traveling into a northern Native community that requires experienced members. The team leader contacted us believing Anthony would be an answer to prayer. Anthony and I have been praying over the last week and we really feel that now is the time. Anthony will be traveling to Fort Hope, Ontario from May 6th to 14th.

Fort Hope

Fort Hope (Eabmetoong/Ojibway meaning "place of reversing waters") is a 4 hour flight north of Thunder Bay.  The community has a population of approximately 1000 people. Fort Hope is an Annishaabe Nation. For more information about Fort Hope click here:

Eabmetoong FN.

The Project

Anthony will be assisting Heart to Heart Ministries and will be part of a work team putting a roof on a church and building a deck and roof structure that is a 50 min boat ride further inland.
The cost of this trip is $800 once you get to Thunder Bay.  We have been so fortunate to have found round trip flights for a total transportation cost of $500. Totaling $1300. If you feel led to help out please direct funds to Daystar or Canada Helps.

We feel blessed to have this opportunity to assist Heart to Heart knowing that it is not only a benefit to this northern native community, but a growing opportunity in Anthony’s spiritual walk as he follows the Lord’s leading.

Thank you for your prayers and support as we continue to serve
the Anishinaabe people of Northern Ontario.
