Lots of onsite jobs this spring for us. Some have been on-going for some time and as mentioned in our last newsletter we send you a follow-up on those jobs

M/V Silver Lady
Our job for M/V Silver Lady has been completed. In our news from February we told you about our work for this vessel, where we assisted with onsite dismantling of the rudder and rudder stock and hence repaired the Simplex rudder stock, tiller, carrier bearing, steering gear ram unit and steering gear cylinder units in our workshop in Denmark. We were also assigned to carry out the re-installation taking place in Stavanger Norway.

By now M/V Silver Lady is back at Sea and as promised we have a few shots from the reinstallation, that was carried out according to schedule.

MSC INES - status
This repair is still ongoing in Durban South Africa. Our welders are busy completing the welding up of the rudder cone. Heat treatment will be the next step, and then final machining and fitting will take place. Pictures will follow when the job is completed.

Singapore propeller blade repair
Another onsite job last week was a short trip to Singapore from Denmark to carry out a propeller blade repair. 2 service engineers took off Monday evening and upon arrival in Singapore they were taken directly onboard the vessel wasting no time. The vessel was afloat but trimmed so the propeller blade tip was approx. 1.5 meter above water and the repair could be carried out afloat from a barge platform. After Grinding and  LPI test we welded up the damaged parts according to class approved WPQR. The work was inspected by BV and hence the blades could be polished.

Only 4 days later our service engineers got on a flight back to Denmark.

Again, we are thankful to have this great team of skilled service engineers that willingly take off with often very short notice travelling far and starting out working right away ignoring jetlag/time difference.
M/V Grouse Hunter
Recently we manufactured a rudder stock with the dimension Ø800 x 6765 mm with 2 stainless steel sleeves. Thanks to our large stock of class approved material, we could start up the work immediately after receipt of order and this 20 tons heavy rudder stock we manufactured in 15 days.

The rudder stock was shipped to Dubai and we manufactured 5 pcs. of wooden cradles for safe return. We also sell from our stock and invite you to check out our stock list here.
