SVAP Week Concludes: The 2018 Sexual Violence Awareness and Prevention Gala was held in the Hintz Family Alumni Center Thursday, hosted by Penn State Lion Ambassadors and University Park Undergraduate Association.
- Film Follies: This year's Film Follies created by the graphic design class of 2018 challenged the preconceived perspectives of topics that are relevant to today's world. Topics ranged from pollution, makeup, animal experimentation, and Donald Trump. Trump had been causing waves in the media lately and the shorts poked fun at his appearance, speech, and tweets.
- Football Captains: Head football coach James Franklin announced the three captains for the 2018 season: Trace McSorley (quarterback), Nick Scott (safety), and Blake Gillikin (punter/kicker).
- Photos: Former Penn State football captain, NFL player, and MIT doctoral candidate John Urschel explained the relationship between mathematics and sports at the Penn State Sports Analytics Conference at the State Theatre on Thursday, April 12, 2018.

Equality Out Loud with Samira Wiley: Known for her breakout roles in the critically-acclaimed The Handmaid’s Tale and Orange Is the New Black, Samira will talk about her career, share her experience as an actor and woman in the entertainment industry, and discuss how she has recently become a model for young people around the world, championing the rights and safety of the LGBTQ community and people of color. The event will be moderated by Jazmine Hughes and streamed live at Penn State at 8 p.m. in 134 HUB-Robeson Center. Free food and giveaways will be available. Register for the free event.
