Oops! We messed up!

Hello, neighbors,

The spring newsletter you received in your inboxes and on your doorsteps a couple of weeks ago had a mistake in it. We accidentally printed that our Summer Food Truck Nights are the first Monday of the month from May through August.

Oakbrook's Summer Food Truck Nights are actually the second Monday of the month from May through August.

Thanks to Karli Millspaugh for catching the error and alerting us to it.

You can read the full corrected edition of the spring newsletter here, or simply scroll down to see the corrected Community Calendar, updated with upcoming local events from the South Suburban Parks and Recreation department.

2018 HOA Dues Drive

by Ben Counter, Treasurer

Fellow Oakbrook residents, it's time for the annual Spring Dues Drive, the time of year when you pay your yearly HOA dues to help fund the activities and events that make Oakbrook a wonderful place to live: covenant enforcement, dumpster days, bowling with neighbors, food truck nights, and contests like Pride in Oakbrook and Holiday Lights. Remember, paying HOA dues is a win-win for all of us.

Because of low dues "turnout" last year, combined with economic realities like inflation, HOA dues are increasing this year by $10 on June 1, 2018 for a total of $35 per household.

If you pay your 2018 dues before June 1st, pay the old amount of $25. However, if you wait to pay your dues until the second half of the year, you'll owe the new amount of $35.

This year we've brought back the Dues Drive slips and postage-paid, pre-addressed envelopes, which you will find enclosed in the print edition of this newsletter. Please complete the form, enclose your payment, and drop your Dues Drive envelope in the mail. Alternatively, you can pay online at www.oakbrookhoa.com via PayPal. There's an additional fee of $1.03 to cover the cost of this service. Also, please complete and send back the Dues Drive form anyway so we can update your info in the Oakbrook database.
