We Are GCVS - April 2018 Update
View this email in your browser

Welcome to the GCVS April 2018 Newsletter!

It's been on the horizon for a while, but the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) finally comes into force next month. As mentioned previously, we're looking for our contacts to re-subscribe to our newsletters - you can find find details of this in the News section below.

Brexit is also fairly imminent and of course it's something we're not taking lightly here at GCVS. While many aspects of Brexit remain somewhat uncertain, our wish is for our Members and the wider Third Sector in Glasgow to be as prepared as possible. In our Members' News section further down you will find details of a community engagement event being held in Govan this evening by The Health and Social Care Alliance Scotland (the ALLIANCE) - it's sure to be extremely relevant, so it's a very useful event to attend if you are lucky enough to register a place.
Over the next while, we'll be working to make sure you are all as informed as can be on the subject, so look out for updates on that.

Have a great month,
Liz McEntee
Director of External Affairs
End of Year Outputs and South Glasgow Networking Event

Everyone’s Children and the Citywide Forum held another very successful networking event on the 19th of April for the South area of the city.
Staff from health, education, social work, Glasgow City Council and the Health and Social Care Partnership were present to find out about an array of Third Sector organisations working in this area, with a view to potential partnership working. Over 40 third sector organisations were present, all of whom provide vital services to Children, Young People and Families in South Glasgow.
Everyone’s Children launched their South Glasgow Directory at the event, completing the exercise of mapping Third Sector children, young people and families’ services in Glasgow.

You can access the Everyone’s Children Glasgow-wide Third Sector Directory here. If you would like to be added to the directory, please fill in our third sector survey.

Additionally, you can now take a look at the Everyone's Children project's Annual Report for 2017-18, which explains key outputs and achievements of the project over the last year - read it here.
