Most Popular Films at Huntley Film Archives

If you were asked what are the most viewed films in the collection you would probably say those covering sex and sex education or cute and cuddly kittens or railways and rolling stock. But being Huntley Film Archives we like to surprise and be a bit different. Our most popular films are those on bricklaying. We don’t know why. Bricklaying doesn’t do much for us, but we have a strong following from Bricklayers Anonymous and we are mystified.

UPCOMING ANNIVERSARIES
NELSON MANDELA: was born 100 years ago on 18th July. This extremely rare footage shows Nelson prior to his imprisonment in the 1950s.
Further notable anniversaries over the next 3 months include:

125th anniversary of the birth of Harold Lloyd on the 20th April.
Baron von Richthofen (aka The Red Baron) died on the 21st April, 100 years ago.
It's 70 years since the creation of the NHS on the 5th July.
