The first study examining the role of feedback in health research projects involving patients and members of the public (PPI research) has found that a fifth of PPI contributors never received feedback on how their input has shaped the research project.

Launch of the Dr Geraldine Byrne Memorial Lecture Series


Tuesday 8th May 2018 4 – 6pm, University of Hertfordshire, College Lane

This Biennial lecture series will feature early career clinical academics who are making a difference to clinical practice. The first TED style talk entitled ‘Nursing leadership: no more matriarchs and angels’ will be given by Dr Natasha Phillips who is a clinical academic whose research interests are in leadership and change in healthcare organisations.

Impact Strategy Training - School of Clinical Medicine


Tuesday, 22 May 2018, 11.30-12.30, Cambridge Biomedical Campus

The School of Clinical Medicine is hosting a session aiming to create awareness about optimising the impact of research. Professor Theresa Marteau will discuss strategies and channels for getting researchers' messages heard and actioned. Professor Mary Dixon-Woods will offer insights on optimising engagement with the NHS. There will be time for information-sharing and dialogue
