Announcing: 
We are thrilled to announce that our Winter production for 2018 will be a contemporary reimagining of Oscar Wilde's enchanting short story, The Selfish Giant. Aimed at Reception to Year 3, this brand new stage adaptation blends spellbinding puppetry, thrilling storytelling and irresistible design.

Set to delight you and your pupils from 26 November to 24 December 2018, this brand new adaptation is presented by award winning team and family-theatre experts, Tessa Bide Productions and Soap Soup Theatre.
 

Grinter is a giant. She lives alone in her big cold house, surrounded by her huge snowy gardens, enclosed by her high, frost-covered walls. She shuts the world away...
 
Outside, the world is changing. There is very little green left. One day, a group of children tired of playing in the grey streets climb through a chink in Grinter's wall into her garden.  This story tells the tale of how they changed each other’s lives forever.

 
Curriculum Links:

Bursting with curriculum-linked themes including the environment, the natural world, empathy and friendships, The Selfish Giant is a beautiful and topical alternative to pantomime at Christmas. A free accompanying resource pack with drama games and activities will be provided for all schools who book, allowing you and pupils to jump into the world of the show to further explore some of the key themes of the production.
