The very first World BioEconomy Forum will be held in Ruka, Finland 11-13 September. The Forum will bring professionals from the leading edge of the bioeconomy for face-to-face dialog in the one of the world’s most exquisite areas of outstanding natural beauty.

A Circular Economy is a vital part of the bioeconomy itself. It is related to material efficiency and helps us save resources. The panel will be moderated by Mika Aalto, Director General of The Chemical Industry Federation of Finland (from June 1, 2018)

Tony Duncan, CEO and co-founder of Circa Group Pty Ltd, will talk about how customers and investors value higher performance molecules over bio-based solutions. Tony was recently nominated as the Most Innovative Bioeconomy CEO by the readers of Il Bioeconomista.



Heli Virkki, Senior Manager, Bio2X Product Portfolio, Fortum to talk about value-added products based on biomass fractionation



Mika Aho, Director of St1 Nordic Oy will talk about Cellunolix®: Saw dust based biorefinery and its relevance in today's bioeconomy


Kari Tuominen, Director of Andritz Oy in Finland, will discuss how pulp mills can improve the use of side streams and therefore play a vital role in the Circular Bioeconomy
