Opt in vs Opt out
This seems to be one of the big changes in the new regulations, after 25 May 2018 companies offering mailing lists must specifically ask you to "opt in" and the wording must be clear. So none of this "Place a check mark here if you want us not to email you" (read that carefully - I think it works!).
CrowZone is not a registered company, but as we store data we thought we should comply with the regulations anyway.
Our website form has always been opt in: "Please join our mailing list".
Our website is hosted on "Weebly" in the cloud and is constructed from components, some of which may use "cookies", but the only information we see from that is related to web traffic statistics (which is managed by Google Analytics, and they have modified their processes to comply with GDPR data retention limits).
You can always control "Cookie" usage from your own browser settings.
