Demmer Library Ground(re)breaking Ceremony

The Edward U. Demmer Library Board of Trustees invites you!

Tuesday, May 8
Demmer Library building, 6961 West School Street, Three Lakes
11 AM - 12 noon

Special guests at the ceremony will include representatives from the architectural firm, Hoffman Planning, Design, & Construction, and Greenfire Management LLC, construction manager.

Refreshments will be served in the Town Board Room following the ceremony. Members of the Demmer board, staff, and Three Lakes Public Library Foundation will be available for further information and discussion.

Interior and some exterior demolition began in April, and we'll get down to serious work in May.

“We want to celebrate the beginning of the long-planned renovation of the Demmer Library,” says Paul Kaiser, president of the Demmer Library Board of Trustees, “and we hope everyone will come. The Three Lakes community has responded so generously to this effort, first by donating to our fund-raising campaign, and then turning out to help us move the entire contents of the old building. We hope they will share this exciting moment with us.”

The “new” Demmer is scheduled to open by January 1, 2019. Until then, patrons can still access all library services at its temporary location at 1805 Superior Street (the former Choo Choo Store).
