Fifth Week of Easter
"I am the vine, you are the branches. Whoever remains in me and I in him will bear much fruit, because without me you can do nothing." (John 15)

Jesus gives us another powerful image of our relationship with him. We are as connected to Jesus as a branch is to its vine. And, the only way we can bear fruit is to remain connected with him.

Today we reflect on this mystery, and its reality in our lives today.
And, we ask for the grace to remain in Jesus and to let him remain in us so that we might bear much fruit, together with him.

Let Us Pray:
God of Easter Joy,
in these weeks after your resurrection,
I long to be in your protective care.
Give me the courage to allow you into my life
to let you love me so I can remain in you.

As I pray with the image of the vine and the branch,
I know I want to hold tightly to you and grow in you.
With the guidance of your Holy Spirit,
give me the consolation of being fruitful 
so I can spread the joy of your gospel
to all those around me.

Saint John Summer Camps
Spend part of your summer with us by signing up for one of our summer camps!
Our school will be hosting a variety of opportunities this summer. From Cross Country to Band...from Tennis to Drones. These opportunities give students a chance to explore a new activity or improve on an area they already enjoy. Please follow the link below for more information and/or to sign-up:

Grand Tour of Italy Final Meeting
There will be a final informational meeting for the Grand Tour of Italy taking place this summer. The meeting will be on Tuesday, May 29th in the school cafeteria. Please contact Ms. Bloom with any questions. 
2018 Run from the Nun 5k
On June 10th, 2018 the 6th annual Run from the Nun 5k will take place at Lakeshore Park. Please download a registration form below for more information. All proceeds will help support the athletics needs of Saint John School. Thank you for your support.

Scholastic Book Fair 
April 30th - May 4th
Our Scholastic Book Fair is a reading event that provides the books kids want to read. It's a wonderful selection of engaging and affordable books for every reading level. 

Reading for pleasure inside and outside of school has real and long-lasting benefits. It unlocks the power of information and imagination and helps children discover who they are. Please make plans to come to our Book Fair and be involved in shaping your child's reading habits.

Choral & Band Spring Concerts
Please join the high school choir and band programs for an afternoon of beautiful music at their annual spring programs. Both programs will take place on Sunday, May 6th at the following times:
  • Choral Concert at 2:30pm in the school cafeteria
  • Band Concert at 5:00pm in the auxiliary gymnasium 
Kindergarten Readiness Assessment
There will be no school for our Kindergarten students on Friday, May 11th due to the Kindergarten Readiness Assessment taking place for incoming kindergarteners.
Career Day
Our high school students will be participating in Career Day taking place this Friday, May 4th. During this day, students will have the opportunity to learn about different careers directly from experts in the field. This is a great opportunity for our students as they begin planning their futures.
