The View from the Road
Our MAD missionary life is never boring! As we travel many miles in our Speed the Light vehicle for ministry with MAD, one constant remains - the opportunity to connect with and minister to people. Praying with people at the altar or listening to someone who stopped by our table to share their story, offering encouragement and prayer are definitely some of our favorites. Along our journey we always welcome any opportunity to show our gratitude to those that make MAD possible by partnering with us financially and praying for us as well, enabling us to invest in others. The missionary life, though not a stranger to many miles on the road, is so very rewarding! We wouldn't trade it for anything.
Here are a few photos taken from some of the places we have been and people we have been with on the journey these past few months. Above, left, our son-in-law, James Carlson, received credentials with the Wisconsin-Northern Michigan District at their network summit in April. Above, right, Chuck took a spontaneous selfie with Pastor Dale Hazard from Augusta Assembly of God in Augusta, WI. Below, left, we had the pleasure of enjoying a delicious meal in the home of ministry partners David and Sharon Wilson. Below, right, we conducted our first marriage retreat with couples from New Life Fellowship Church in Bloomington, IL. The bottom two pictures were taken in Chicago, at a multi-church missions convention. We had the privilege of sharing the Word at the missions banquet, and then paused for a photo with the pastors and missionaries who participated in the convention.
