Hello Nordic Folk!

Thank-you to the members and guests who joined us at the information session at the Community Centre last week. Here's the news you need to know as May approaches:

Important Closure Notice

Revelstoke Nordic will be commencing the Parking Lot and Stadium phase of our 2018 Parking Lot & Trails Expansion Project within the next few days.

As a result, we will be closing the Macpherson parking lot and the following sections of trails: Main Loop (below Mountain Climb), Mickey's (including Titan, Dynamite, Evelyn's), Roadway Ramble and the stadium area. These areas will re-open for use once we have completed our initial phase of operations.

An April start date is motivated by the following factors:

the availability of heavy machinery
it eliminates parking lot closure impact on bike season
it minimizes overlap with migratory bird-nesting season

The exact date of the closure is based on the availability of machinery, and equipment is slated to arrive between Wednesday April 25th and Monday April 30th. Please expect to see a closure notification within the coming days.

This is an exciting time for Revelstoke Nordic! We appreciate your cooperation as we work to improve our facilities and trail network.

Notice of the RNSC Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting of the Revelstoke Nordic Ski Club will be held on Tuesday, May 8th, 2018 at 7pm at the Revelstoke Nordic Lodge.

This is an important opportunity to speak with board members and learn about the the "year that was" and direction the club is heading. We will be electing next year's board members and presenting the newly developed Strategic Plan.

The Revelstoke Nordic Ski Club and its predecessor the Revelstoke Ski Club, has been in existence for over 100 years. For all of that time, hundreds of volunteers have offered up their time and energy to sit on the Club’s Board of Directors. This continuous, ever changing make up of the board is the key to the club's success over all of these years.

We are still looking for a Treasurer. We also have space for new directors and these positions can be tailored to your area of expertise or interest.
