“It is long overdue that we show our gratitude and profound appreciation for those who put their precious lives on the line for our country during one of the most contentious times in our nation.  They answered the call of duty. Many came home to experience rejection and vilification.  We welcome our Vietnam Era Veterans to this event to thank them for their service. We hope this ceremony shows them that we honor them as heroes.” – Council President Bud Otis
