Making the transition from Hong Kong to Moscow to Munich, Germany wasn’t too bad. We did have a delayed flight which meant we missed our connection in Moscow that led us to sleep on the couches in the lobby. The Priority Pass paid off again as we did it in luxury. We also worked out a deal with the airline to get our food comped in the airport - experience pays ;)
Our time spent in Munich was a ton of fun reconnecting with friends who we met while in Perdika, Greece last summer. They were kind enough to host us at their home and show us a wonderful time in this beautiful city. The weather was unbelievable, so all of the locals were excited to enjoy their ‘best day of the year’ bicycling around town, laying out in the parks, and walking their dogs in the picturesque neighborhoods.
It just happened to be Münchener Frühlingsfest (Munich Spring Festival) while we were there. It is like a baby Oktoberfest, so you know we had to go in and partake with a couple of beers. That was a blast. You can see a part of the afternoon here on a video that I recorded during the festivities.
Now we are off to Amsterdam to enjoy King’s Day like a local. Based on all of our research, it should be quite an awesome few days in The Netherlands.
