EARTH DAY GIVEAWAY

EARTH DAY 2018 (AND OUR GIVEAWAY)

40x4

Sunday, April 22 marked the 48th anniversary of Earth Day.  In 1970, the first Earth Day gave voice to an emerging consciousness that raised awareness and concern for living organisms, the environment, pollution and its effects on public health.

Bottled water is a major contributor to plastic pollution.  Seven million single-use plastic bottles are used every year.  That’s enough to fill three Empire State Buildings.

To show our commitment to reducing single use plastics and in honor of Earth Day, we’re giving away two Grayl water purifiers.  Compact and easy to use, Grayl Ultralight Purifier Bottle enables travelers to make pure, healthy and great tasting water anywhere in the world.

To be entered in the drawing, submit your name on our Contact Page and tell us you’d also like to end plastics pollution in the Comments section.  Together, we can reduce, better yet, end plastic pollution.

FEATURED DESTINATION:
AZORES

40x4

The Azores archipelago, a group of nine islands some 800 miles from mainland Portugal, ranks as one of the world’s top whale and dolphin-watching destinations. One third of all cetacean species either inhabit or migrate through Azorean waters and April offers chances to see the greatest diversity of whales. The islands themselves are a nationally protected area designated a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in 2009. In addition to prime wildlife viewing close to shore, visitors to the Azores can expect gorgeous beaches, dazzling blue lakes, bubbling hot springs, scenic waterfalls, active volcanoes, and sprawling green pastures.

We just returned from our inaugural group trip to the Azores.  Highlights included an epic day on the water where we encountered two blue whales, two fin whales and two sperm whales!  We also managed to spot four Azorean bullfinches, once considered the most threatened songbird in Europe.  We strolled around crater lakes and through UNESCO vineyards, soaked in thermal waters, sampled wonderful local cuisine, and watched beautiful sunsets.

Often compared to Hawaii and Iceland, the Azores are in a league of their own.  If you’re interested in learning more about the Azores, we’re happy to schedule a call or webinar to share all that’s on offer there.  Contact us for more information.

TESTIMONIALS

40x40   The [Baja Sur, Mexico] trip was fabulous!!!!! It was far beyond my expectations.  Bryan and Sergio were great!!!! We felt so well taken care of.  We loved the cooking class and Bryan arranged for the chef and one of the drivers, Julio, and our guide Hernando to Salsa dance with us after the cooking class since we missed the only Salsa dancing in Todos Santos while we were on the island.  For me, it was a highlight of the trip.  We also loved the other excursions including the cliff hike, birding with Sergio, kayaking in the mangroves, swimming with the sea lions, and snorkeling.  What an amazing trip you put together for us.   40x40
