USU in the News
We hope you will join us for the Coalition of Urban Serving Universities (USU), APLU’s Commission on Access, Diversity and Success (CADE), and Council on Student Affairs (CSA) 2018 Joint Summer Forum, Building Opportunity, taking place in Chicago, IL on June 18 – 19, 2018, at the University of Illinois at Chicago. CSA's Summer Forum will begin the afternoon of Sunday, June 17th.  A block of discounted rooms has been secured at the Hilton Downtown Chicago Hotel.  

To all USU members, we invite all 21st Century Workforce Development, Improving the Health of a Diverse Population, Fostering Student Achievement and, Building Smart Resilient Cities strand representatives to accompany their presidents and chancellors to the meeting. The strands will meet during the conference.

Temple University is proving to be an important economic source for the City of Philadelphia and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania by supporting more than 43,000 jobs statewide according to an economic impact study. 

Arizona State University's Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering is collaborating with industry and city leaders to help the Valley of the Sun in future growth.

IMAGINE Social Good is looking for students who are running, expanding, preparing to launch or simply considering the pursuit of a social good project. At IMAGINE students present and share their projects with other like-minded students and receive constructive feedback from a panel of experts that we build around them and their work. 

latest from the blog: Redefining Student Success: APLU Launches Collaborative Initiative Focused on College Completion

In response, APLU has launched the Center for Public University Transformation (CPUT) to address the challenges for college completion. The main work of the Center will be the APLU Transformation Cluster Initiative, which aims to catalyze transformational change across the higher education sector. Through this initiative, APLU will convene more than 100 public universities across the country, organized into “clusters” of eight to ten institutions, to collaborate on solutions for student success.
