MAY 2018
Video Resource Mental Health TVNZ have started broadcasting a series that could be helpful for you. It is a series of topics that have links todo with our mental health. The link featured below is one about alcohol. Each episode will feature prominent New Zealanders being interviewed by Jehan Casinader, a journalist I know and trust in the work he does. A few of us have watched this episode and think it could be a very helpful resource to watch and discuss with some the young people you connect with. It has very honest reflections, so do watch it first. Let us know if you do find ways to use it as it would be great to know how resources are being utilised. You can view here.
Connect 20 - 22 July our National Youth Leadership Training event, a must have in your annual planner! Early Bird prices close 2 May. So get in ASAP to save some coin. If you are sending leaders alone, let me know as we will have an opportunity at Connect to all get together as a region on the first day and if I know people have come along I can help to intentionally connect them with others. More details here.
Film Fest 2018
This year there will be two Film Fests! One in Wellington and one in the Manawatu.
We are still sorting out the finer details and will get those out to you all as soon as possible. However if you'd like to get started on your film, just make sure it fits the following guidelines:
  - Be no longer than 5 minutes
  - Be based around a bible verse or scripture, which will be included in the film
  - Include the 2018 object - A cone
  - Include a line in a language other than English.
  - Participants must be under 25
Films for both regions are due on the 11th August. Dates and locations of the different Film Fests will be available shortly, along with more information about film rules and guidelines - so keep an eye on your inbox!
For more information contact your region's Youth Enabler.
