Counselors' Corner

Take a moment to go to Skyview’s new website at http://www.billingsskyviewhigh.com/  and click departments and school counseling. Several of our pages are up and running and contain valuable information for you and your student. Please watch the calendar for important dates. Important announcements will also be listed on our new website. Students and parents can contact counselors using the new appointment request form on the front page of the guidance counselor’s website.

Career Cruising: Please visit this career exploration program for our students. Here you can find a list of available scholarships, college information, career assistance, suggested time lines, information on ACT, SAT, NCAA and so much more.

This is a one-stop shopping for students to search careers, colleges, education and much more. Use Career Cruising to help guide you in the college search process. All students can now go directly to career cruising through their power school account. Once logged into power school online (not through the app) students can click the arrow in the upper right hand corner and be linked directly to Career Cruising. Messages from the counseling center will be sent out through this program and automatically go to the students’ emails. Please encourage your student to check emails as we provide important information through Career Cruising.

Fall Schedules: All schedule changes must be made on or before August 21st, 2018. No changes will be made after this date unless there is a mistake in the schedule. (Ex. No required course in schedule or wrong math class, etc.)

Schedules for the 2018/2019 school year will be mailed out the week of August 6th. Students may contact their counselor to make schedule changes on or before August 21st. Counselors will be available at Skyview the week of August 13th to make any needed schedule changes. Please have students contact their counselor in person, by email, by phone, or by appointment at the counselor website prior to the August 21st, 2018.  No schedule changes will be made after this date.
